2001 Volkswagen Golf turbo cut out?

when building up speed to apx 70 mph the turbo will cut out and wont work untill i turn the engine off and back on again?
this is happening apx 1 time a week.

Check and see if any hoses / pipes collapsing under load , if not , get it scanned .

Wonder if it,s over boosting ,as at the speed you are experiencing the issue ,it could be and shutting down ECM to protect from damaging the engine.check your waste gate actuator is not sticking on it,s pivot point,or could be the turbo control valve intermittantly sticking,or a vane inside the turbo itself.
