2010 Volkswagen Fox paint is bubbling and pealing off back panel

Wondered if anyone else has this problem. The blue paint at first bubbled and then pealed off the rear side of my year old Fox.
VW garage have said its because there's a tiny stone chip and this has caused the paint to fall off so not covered under warranty - but I don't buy this. Chip or no chip paint shouldn't fall of the car like this - the bare metal patch is approx 5 cm x 9 cm now.
Any advice appreciated.

If not happy with their explanation , drive into any major body shop and let them have a look at panel and they will advise you of problem .

there is no chip i bet what will have happened is the paint work has a flaw take it back explain to them that the primer wasent applyed right as it is to baire metal if you could take a picture for me a close and far i will be able to tell what is wrong please send the pictures to [email protected]
