2012 Volkswagen Caddy skipping 2nd and 4th gears

Auto DSG gearbox. Revs high in first gear and then skips into 3rd gear and then into 5th. So skips 2 and 4. Also will nlt go into reverse unless I turn the car off and then on again?

That many possible causes with that box , impossible to say . Needs scanning for fault codes
