Gear box and performance

its an automatic 2.0 vw bora and i just done the cambelt the a full service so as the gear box oil but it seem that the car performance hasent changed its still the same as it was and the gear box when you put on D to drive forward it gose forward and then when change it R to go reverse it take 3 seconds to go backward and the change it to D to go forward it take 3 second again to go forward.i didnt have such a problem with my other automatic cars.is it normal or no.please give some information.thanks
