Start with basics , are you getting fuel and a spark at plugs ?

When i've checked the plugs they were smelling of petrol, do you know if it could be a trip switch not letting fuel through, just before it cut out i went over a railway crossing which was very bumpy, then 200 yds down the road it cut out

if you tripped the fuel cut off switch then the plugs would`nt be getting wet or smell of petrol, take advice given in previous posting about checking compressions and drying out plugs and cylinders

I have that same problem, I left my car in the garage for 2weeks went to start it and it was just turning over, sometimes it would kick in and start but it would cut within that 3 seconds, so my mechanic said it could be a few things he told me, so I bought new spark plugs, the leads to the spark plugs and had my sensors all tested, all is fine but the fan switch, but my car still wont start :(
