Car Bonnet Wont Open

1998 Vauxhall Tigra Bemuda
Car: Vauxhall Tigra
Year: 1998
Variant: Bemuda
There is no tension when I pull the lever inside the car to open to the bonnet.

I can manually release the catch at the very front of the bonnet but presumeably the catch attached to the lever by cable is caught or stuck.

Is there a way of getting under the car and releasing this catch?

Ive been quoted £60 - £80 at garages to fix the problem but havent got the cash unfortunatley.

Thanks.

the cable tension on the bonnet lever works the same as a brake cable system on a bicycle! All you have to do is remove the lever from inside the car, pull the cable as hard as you can till you get the tension required, then reattach the cable to the lever in the new position & that should work fine! If not, unfortunately your just going to have to pay out & get your local garage to do it! Sorry I cant be of any more help! I wish you all the best though!
