2000 Vauxhall Tigra high revs

Car: Vauxhall Tigra
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.4
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi all,

New to the site and was wondering if anyone can enlighten me. Just recently my coolant light came on my dashboard which then led to my revs being at number two on the dial when sat with just the engine running. After re-filling with coolant the revs are still mis-behaving. Can anyone give me any advice so I can visit the garage with at least some knowledge in order for me not to get done over.

Might be advisable to keep an eye on coolant level if warning light coming on . High revs etc. could be a number of things ,coolant temp sensor , idle control valve / throttle body needing cleaned ,throttle position sensor etc .etc. You could get a diagnostic scan and see what shows.Could be something minor ,hope this helps you .
