Boot lid opening

boot lid only opens slowly in stages, having to press button again at each stage. it closes properly in 1 stage. I havent tried to open roof since the problem arose in case it got stuck mid cycle and wouldnt shut again

Could be motor needing oil , weak motor , but so many possible causes hard to know where to start .

Sounds like Hydraulic fluid required in the system, go to youtube look for a 1hr stream on Tigra (its the one that the Vauxhall produced) this will explain the full operation and what to check for, part of it will show a white box and small tank (where to top up)
One other point I did have the boot button at one time fail due to bad connections (Took the button out and cleaned with switch cleaner)
