1995 Vauxhall Tigra overheating

I have just purchased this car and i love it but unfortunately my father and brother has discovered its overheating and thinks that maybe it could be the head gasket,when younrelease the top off the coolant bottle its bubbling out as toit sud just open with a hiss if am correct,

It is a pressurised cooling system so if you remove cap when hot it will tend to fill up . Check to see if coolant fan cuts in .If still suspect head gasket , carry out a block test .If losing water and cant see where from , get a pressure test of cooling system .Could also test thermostat is not sticking .
