Intermittant fault with the windscreen wipers. Sometimes they occassionally stop working in all settings less the maximum speed. I have checked fuses/relays and no obvious fault. Any ideas welcome.

The Signum / Vectras had problems a while back with faulty wiper motors which were replaced under warranty .Here is possible cause inside motor from VX forum ,
" I had the exact problem that everyone is describing here - I removed my wiper motor and dismantled it and found the fault.
Basically there is a copper earth rivited to the aluminium chassis of the motor which becomes corroded. I installed a new earth and my wipers have been fine ever since. "
