2006 Vauxhall Signum autamatic gearbox misbehaving

My Signum (automatic) runs quite well but sometimes when it is asked to change gear quickly it judders,it also sometimes goes to change gear but does not find a gear and the engine races. I sometimes have to pull over and turn the ignition off and it seems to reboot and become normal again.
The cruise control does not work after the gearbox problem occurs but returns when the ignition has been turned on and off.

all that i will say to this one is consult your dealer asap as can cause more damage if not looked at ive not come across problems on these before but will look in to it and update when i have more info
