Cranks but will not start

2004 Vauxhall Signum 1.9 d
Car: Vauxhall Signum
Year: 2004
Variant: 1.9 d
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Car originally was running very poorly. Checked codes and code for swirl port actuator logged. Removed and checked inlet manifold , throttle body and egr valve. Badly coked up so replaced manifold and swirl chamber actuator. Vehicle turns over but will not start. Spanner/car lamp flashes on when cranking but no fault codes are being logged. Can anybody help??

A lot of fault codes only appear in an engine running state. Have you done the obvious. Like check for fuel at pump, engine, does it smoke at all? have you tried a little starting fluid just to see if its air. Some engines can be pigs to start if there is any air. What about towing it around the block.
