2000 Vauxhall Omega cutting out when starting

Car: Vauxhall Omega
Year: 2000
Variant: 2.2 Auto
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When i start my omega in the morning or after long periods, the engine is not running properly or cutting out, sounds like it's missing. It sorts it's self out when i drive off (about half mile. I've had it in garage and they have cleaned throttle, and checked choke but they say that isn't the problem. Does anyone know of this problem?

Choke ? A common fault is the engine coolant temperature sensor which tells the main computer / ecu how much fuel ,air is needed according to the engine temperature. Same as the choke on older cars .
