driving down the road and it cuts out, not all the time

may need a new sensor of somekind, maybe because there isnt enough fuel getting to the engine, so normally cutts out if this happens. have u got an old battery?

When you say " cuts out " do you mean misfires and then clears or engine stops / stalls ?

with reference to your reply concerning the car cutting out, yes it stalls, engine management light comes on and it stops
