2001 Vauxhall Omega oil in the header tank

Car: Vauxhall Omega
Year: 2001
Variant: 2.6 CD auto
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
Oil in the header tank. Oil changed last week by quick fit said it was clean as a whistle. changed the coolant and oil still there if not slightly worse. Tested the header tank with colour water tube and stayed the same colour. Said it wasnt head gasket as a result . What could it be, is it a costly fix, car has only done 59k and is mint apart from this.

well it is kwik fit that have done the job so they say i dont trust them as far as i can throw them but if you are able to give the coolant system another flush out and see how you go if it does come back then there is a problem if it doesnt then kwikfit havnt done the job right

It sounds more like your oil cooler is on its way out. needs repaired or replaced.
