2001 Vauxhall Omega coolant heating not switching off and running battery down

Car: Vauxhall Omega
Year: 2001
Variant: 2.2 DTI
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Can anyone explain what the coolant heating do for the car as mine has started to run all the time and running my battery flat. Have managed to pull the fuse out which has stopped the fault but I dont know what this could do to the car if it stays out for a prolonged period.

Do you mean the blower inside the car or the fan on the back of the radiator????.
