1998 Vauxhall Monterey emissions too high

Car: Vauxhall Monterey
Year: 1998
Variant: 3.2 V6 Petrol, 7 seat, Diamond
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
My usual MOT place has just gone bust, so I took the Monterey to my local quickfit.

It needed a new exhaust (loads of money, but better than scrapping the car.. just. That's now fited.

It also needed a new Lambda sensor. Kwikfit failed to get the proper one, so I sourced an aftermarket one off Ebay. Now the car's running fine, but the emissions are way too high and Kwikfit don't know what to do!

Any ideas?

can you attach the emissions printout the lamda sensors need to be checked to make sure they are switching. if the co is a little out its usually the sensor. if its a long way out the cat is the problem csometimes both!!
be carefull which cat you use if its not type approved it can still fail the emissions test!!
