when driving either on motorway or A roads at good speed when starting to climb a hill as i push the accelarator down to meet the gradiant the fault (spanner) light comes on & the engine cuts back into limp mode switching off & restarting the engine resets everything & away we go this does not happen at every hill or every time i need to overtake but has anyone else had this problem & does anyone know the solution

Many possible causes but easiest and usually the cheapest bet in the long run is to get it scanned and see what fault codes are shown.Otherwise you are just guessing and trying different things / parts .

Thanks
