1996 Vauxhall Frontera no fuel ,at fuel pump

hello,there is power now to fuel pump,but there is no fuel getting from pump to engine,if i put a live to one of the wires that go into the pump via a black box on the pump it will allow fuel to go through once only,there are three wires going into the black box,it is fitted with a factory immobiliser and fob,this seems to be working ok,is there a fuel relay fitted that could be causing this and if so were can i find it,if anyone has any suggestions on what might be wrong please
