2001 Vauxhall Frontera choke seems to be stuck

Car: Vauxhall Frontera
Year: 2001
Variant: 2.2i Limited
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
After many parts and time I have a faulty Fronty!

I start the car drive now around 200 yards to 1 mile and then the car starts to judder and choke up. Whilst holding the revs at around 1500 - 2000 revs the car hunts and will stall if left to drop. Sounds like it want to be V8 (lol).

I have already replaced the fuel filter, cam sensor and fitting a crank sensor as as advised previously.

Is this common? And better still a cheap and simple fix?

Vauxhall placed on the machine and it cam up with cam sensor, which is wasn't.

Help please

I'd be checking the coolant temperature sensor/
Or just renew it,
they don't cost much.

Solution!
It was the EGR valve job done, and now a very good Fronty back on the road.
