2003 Vauxhall Frontera gearbox/ drive please help

was driven with min oil and previous owner said it stopped on its way to the MOT it still drive in reverse and winter mode at 20 mph HELP!!

Probably one or more clutches burnt out.
Most likely a full auto box overhaul required or s/h box.
Either way not cheap.
