2000 Vauxhall Frontera power loss/turbo cut out

Car: Vauxhall Frontera
Year: 2000
Variant: 2.2 DTI 16v
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
when 65mph is reached the managment lght comes on and there is a loss of power/ turbo cuts out. If the engine is turned off and straight back on everything resets.
The turbo seems to work fine at lower speed.
She has been on a diagnostic, which comes up with faulty solinoid, which has been chaged with a secondhand one but this has not solved the problem, the local garage has no ideas, can anyone help.
