1994 Vauxhall Frontera won't start

Car: Vauxhall Frontera
Year: 1994
Variant: 2.0 sport
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Car always starts first time. Started on the drive last week ran for about 5 minutes then stopped as though the ignition had been switched off. Can't get it to start. Plugs okay definitely not electrical. Must be fuel but when you turn on the ignition you can hear the pump for couple of seconds I assume building up pressure. Is there somthing which controls the pump to the injectors which would stop the fuel being pumped through?

if it stopped that quick its defo electrical needs to be plugged in to a diagnostic machine.

Have you checked the Cambelt. As for it to start first time normally then just stop and not start. I would have a look at that. When you turn over it will sound like it's turning a bit faster than normally if it is, It doesn't always snap it could have sheered it's teeth. so try and get the cover off to check properly.

Checked electrics will start if you spray petrol down inlet manifold. AA man looked and said definitely not electrics. Changed relay and filter but no petrol coming out of fuel pipes.
