1994 Vauxhall Cavalier starting

car starts ok when cold but after driving a short distance doesn't like starting again until completely cold. It turns over and fires but will not pick up as if suffering from fuel starvation. Any help would be appreciated.

Could possibly be engine coolant temp sensor or crankshaft sensor .
