Common fault , here are som examples from other owners .

Vauxhall Antara E Auto 2007

I’ve had my Antara for a month now and have so far been very happy with it apart from a highly annoying intermittent alarm problem. The dealer had it back last week, told me that a problem was found and it had been fixed, but since then it’s gone off 3 times. I’m not very propular in my road at the moment. I’ve tried all sorts, am always careful about locking doors and windows, closing vents etc... all to no avail so far. I see some reviewers have disconnected it, my dealer tells me I can’t do that but obviously I can! Will someone tell me how to do it please, is it just pulling out the fuse?

We had same problem this year. Took our Antara to be repaired, got the car back, apparently fixed and it still had exactly the same problem (ours is an Antara 2007 reg)! My partner guessed it was a fault with the interior movement sensor and (in the end) Vauxhall agreed and finally it was repaired! Have read about so many similar faults and wonder why Vauxhall haven’t acknowledged this?? Best of luck... Charlotte from Dorset

I’ve had my Antara 2 years now and love it but last week my alarm kept going off for no reason so I took it back to the dealers to be fixed. I must say the service I got from my dealers was 1st class - they had it for a week of which I had a brand new loan car, they replaced the inclanation sensor and put a whole new radio system in and so far the alarm has’nt gone off. Hope this will help - Gary from Dorset

Hi, I had the same probelm last year with my 57 plate Antara alarm suddenly started going off as soon as you locked car up, and then all through the night ending up with us having to leave car unlocked. Took it to Vauxhalls and guess what it stopped after them having it all night and so we picked car up. The following day it did it again and yet another trip to Vauxhalls when eventually the alarm went off just as they were closing, after being put on machine it was said to be inside motion sensor.
Ever since then after being turned off ive had no problem until yesterday when off it went and now car is outside house unlocked.
When i take it back to Vauxhalls am i likely to be charged for an obvious fault on these cars.

Have the same problem with the wifes Antara been going on for months now, has been in 3 times to dealer still not solved problem and as we speak it is going in again today, and my neighbours are also going nuts, can't take much more off them but and the end of the day you can understand their frustration as it's on par with mine

Its the intrusion sensor, which is in the light clutter you can either take the light clutter out and discontect the sensor, or just place a plaster over the sensors in the light clutter, both ways work as I had the same problem, alarm going off at all times of the day or night. this still allows the alarm to be set when locking the doors untill you replace the sensor. The Part No to replace the sensor is GM96673452,
