Alarm keeps going off

2011 Vauxhall Antara 2.4 litre manual
Car: Vauxhall Antara
Year: 2011
Variant: 2.4 litre manual
Have owned the car for 4 years and it has suddenly developed a problem with the alarm going off at any random time it chooses. It’s not a fault with the incline sensor and we’ve sprayed it out numerous times to remove flies, spiders and the like. We’ve tried covering the internal sensors by the light cluster and we’re hoping that has worked. Does anyone know if it’s possible to disconnect / turn off the alarm? Or what else may work?
Many thanks
Jo

Some say if the car is parked nose down on a hill it often goes off , but not when parked on the flat . On some there was a button to deactivate internal sensor and also the inclination sensor. Could also check bonnet switch

Thsnk you for the reply. The car is parked on the flat do we don't think it's the incline sensor. We've black taped the internal sensors by the light cluster in the hope that will work. We'll also check the bonnet switch. Let's hope we sort the problem as it's optimum time for going off seems to be midnight!
