Only had my car since last August and due to pandemic I haven't driven that many miles maybe around 3000. Got the car recovered & taken to vauxhall garage. Advised transfer box needs replacing, quote of £4500, private garage around £2000. I have the car on finance so I have to pay for an independent engineer to inspect the vechile to see if the garage I bought it from would be liable for the repairs. Has anyone else had this issue? I just hope they say it could of possibly gone when I bought the car so I can recover the costs back as the mot isn't due until September.

Think you will struggle to find the garage liable for a car of that year , 8/9 months after purchasing it .
