Heard some odd noises, and then a smell like gas (gearbox oil on exhaust) after investigation at Vauxhall(video attached, forward passed brakes and tyres) advised that they think something has hit the gearbox, looks to me like a defect in the casing. They want £5,000 to repair. Anyone had a similar problem?

There has been a lot of this happening on that vehicle and Vauxhall have made contributions to vehicles out of warranty They know this and to hear they are trying to say it was hit ........................................... .
