Check your springs.

Jack up and check for any excessive play , check front wheel bearings , lower susp. arm / bushes .

Can you recreate the noise when sitting still?
If you can get a helper to do this then a long shafted screwdriver pressed to your ear and the other end in contact with say the top of the shock in side the bonnet and you can hear pretty much any noise generated.
You just move the screwy end around to narrow down the point of where the noise is loudest.
