2006 Vauxhall Agila erratic running but only between 1.5 and 2.5 rpm

Car was fine on test drive. Fuel VERY low, light flashing.
Car went for service as running a bit erratic - had new oil, filter, plugs etc. This did not clear problem - very jerky at low speeds.
Had diagnostics carried out. Compression very low on no.3 piston. Flushed through to clean and then all back to same compression. New oil (again!). Still same problem with running. Said it could be coil pack so new one fitted. Same problem.
Took to Vauxhall Repair experts who diagnosed maf sensor problem and fitted new one. Said problem was fixed but it was not. They also cleared the codes from ECU. Checked lambda sensor and readings okay.
HELP! problem remains - erratic lumpy running at low revs (1.5 to 2.5) How many 'experts' do I need to see to get something sorted? How much money? Spent £600 on supposed repairs so far!
On pedal test the codes that come up are 301 and 303 - misfiring??? What else could cause this problem?
Runs fine on idle - flys down the motorway - only seems to happen at low revs under load whilst driving along. Slow to pull away at lights etc sometimes.
At my wits end - anyone please help???

Hi at this point I would start with a new fuel filter.

You don't say what engine in car ? Any rattle from engine timing chain which could indicate wear and timing out ? Don't know about pedal test codes but if Vauxhall repairers you would have thought they would have scanned with Tech2 or similar and listed fault codes .Guessing and fitting unneeded parts not good .Would be interested in test on cyl with low compression again and seeing readings .
