2002 Toyota Yaris passenger seat will not slide forward

Variant: 1.0 Colour collection
I've recently bought a Toyota Yaris, this is a three door and the passenger seat does not slide forwards or backwards. This happens either when I pull the lever on the side to let rear passengers in or when I pull the bar at the front of the seat.
I think it may be the seat pins or the wire? If so does anyone know how to fix this?
Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated. Thanks

you need to check the seat runner has nothing trapped in it and give it a spray with wd40,you will prob need to take the seat out and check that the linkage is all intact and not broken or damaged,check all link rods and cables
