Loud noise and ticking

A few months ago my exhaust was loose. I had the back part of my exhaust changed but was still loose. Then had my middle part changed. A couple months after i noticed a wooing noise coming and going. Couldnt tell if it was coming from underneath or the front by the engine. Took it to the garage but the mechanic couldnt hear the sound i heard. Few days later my engine light came on. It was my cat converter. Had a new cat and now my car sounds worse. Can hear noises from undermeath the car. My car now sounds more like a sport. And when im turning sharp corners i can hear a ticking noise. And theres alot of loud rattling coming from the front of my car. Help! I have a toyota yaris 03 plate

Suggest you change your garage for one recommended and get the car checked over by a better standard of mechanic .

Are cat coverter suppose to make a noise at 1st as its new, or was it just badly fitted? Something doesn't sound right underneath my car

Should be no noise , something in exhaust system / cat not fitted correctly .

Well i took it back to the garage to see if he could sort it out. He said he couldnt hear the noises but the heat sheild was loose so he sorted that out. Have noticed that after ive slowed down and changed to a lower gear, then when i put my foot on the accelerater it makes a grinding noise that comes and goes. Dont know if thats from the cat coverter ir something else

Nothing to do with cat conevertor , you could get engine / gearbox mountings checked for excessive wear and movement though I have doubt about your mechanic who seems to not hear noises ..He should also get it jacked up and checked for wear at front suspension , steering and wheel movement .

Thanks for your help. Think im gonna take it to another garage to get checked over. Hopefully they can help me with the noises that im hearing

Go to another garage and if they cant hear the noise you are hearing get them to road test the car with you so they know what you are complaining about .
