Hi I have a 2012 toyota yaris and its got a built in sat nav which works great until you put your lights on then its to dim to read 'the sound is fine just dark ;tried all the settings its on full light and is very bright as I said until you put your lights on even just the side lights can anyone help or know what the problem is please thanks ps only got the car today

There is nothing wrong it is to prevent it glaring when it is dark.

thanks paulieone .no its very dark its there but to dark to make out 'all so when you put the car in reverse the reversing camera comes on automatically 'but that's to dark to make out as well'' ok with lights off 'but to dark to read at night 'got in touch with toyota in warrington 'its a new one on them 'they will be looking at it soon 'just thought there was a way to fix it before i have to leave it in the garage 'no sat nav instructions in the hand book 'cant find it on line ?

Sounds like a setting problem .
