Immobiliser?

2000 Toyota Yaris
Car: Toyota Yaris
Year: 2000
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Car has been working fine, starting first time, runs nsmoothly.
This morning, engine turns over, plenty in battery, petrol the lot but just won't start. Not even try to fire. I am guessing the immobiliser. Tried two keys both do the same. Is there anyway to check.

Regards,
Colin.

Sounds like you need to go into a Toyota dealer. There are chips within the keys that are recognised by a transponder around the ignition barrel. I worked with toyota about 6 years ago and if I remember corectly you can plug onto hand held computer and re-program the keys. Best bet to phone local dealer. Ian
