when i come to a stop and i am in 1st gear my brakes jam,i have to rev hard and then it only moves,a loud thuddin noise comes from the rear, ihave no problems if iam driving around

Could check the LPV (Load proportioning valve), if fitted. It can cause rear lock up if faulty .
