2010 Toyota Hilux sparking noise

when I make the switch to "ON" position(before cranking), I hear a sound just like electric sparking(continuous krrrrrrrr sound) from engine(seems to be from where the air cleaner is connected to the engine, but not sure ). This noise does not stop until switch is put into "ACC" position(difficult to hear when the engine is started, but it is there).....Is this normal or what is the problem..need your advise

Hard to advise without hearing it , but if worried about it , and that year , just run it into dealers and ask them to confirm what it is and whether it's normal .Probably o.k and some unit that is activated when ignition on .
