Has anyone else experienced this ? if so, how did you manage to eliminate the problem, or is this an expensive "chip" replacement which requires a long trip to a Main Dealer.

Could be a faulty sensor , sensor wring . Being intermittent makes it hard to find but may show a fault code if scanned
