My car all of a sudden came up with the CHECK ENGINE light and stopped. I tried to restart - no sucess. The battery seems to have enough power - but the car will not start. Any thoughts ?

did mil come on before engine cut out?
as mil will always be on if engine not running.
if so code read ecu.if not recc check for spark and inj pulse as these early gvs suffered from wireing loombs rubbing through behind battery on clamp leg
