Try adding one of the gearbox oil treatments,
They're pretty cheap and often work.
Personal experience make me use "Wynns".

The transmission has been a problem on Suzuki cars for many years and there are many known faults .I honestly doubt any additive will help .

Of course you are correct worth trying , but nightmare for transmission / clutch faults .
