2000 Suzuki Jimny not firing

i used my jimny on saturday ok, sunday morning starter turned the engine over but would not fire up ignition lights came up as normal but showed check engine warning light,had the aa out but he could not find the fault,any ideas,please help required,thank you ,grumpy,

what was the code recorded in the ecu when the engine light on?
was any lights flashing on dash?
