2000 Suzuki Jimny car cuts out when i go over 50mph

Car: Suzuki Jimny
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.3
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi all, when driving on motorway, if i go over 50mph my suzuki jimny cuts out. It's like it has run out of petrol but it hasn't and i have to stop on hard shoulder. I then wait for about 5 mins and it starts again but if i go over 50mph it cuts out again. If i dont go over 50mph it can drive forever - i drove 100 miles under 50 - and inner city driving it has never cut out. Help!

sounds like the engine is being starved of fuel, check your fuel pump as it could be on its way out, also check all your fuel pipes are ok,do you have any warning lights on?
