Pausing when driving

while driving in d.the car jerks as if pulling back,especially when accelerator is depressed it dosent speed up.it tends to slow down.dosent go into gears quick enough when driving.

You dont say what engine . Doesn't really matter as you will have to get it checked / scanned to see what is causing engine misfire .Many possible causes .
