Cambelt

Just Rang scoobyworld about cambelt change lol.

Their price for just a straight fwd belt replace not changing idler pulleys or hydraulic tensioner is £201.50 inc vat ok if you want to risk it i guess but i wanted a price with idler pulleys and tensioner...............Couldnt give me one-great


Said we only replace them if they need it(fair enough to an extent however see next question)


Next question do ya keep tensioners/idler pulleys in stock.....no great scooby specialist.


So he said we can sometimes get them the same day but not always-you`d love to book ya car in them strip it down and say yer it wont be done today on just a cambelt-you`d keep a few in stock at least wouldnt ya maybe ive just been spoilt with places ive dealt with in the past.


If they`d have given me a price and it were reasonable would have got them to order the parts in first then take it-think its just poor when you cant give a price though.
