2000 Subaru Impreza picking up speed

Variant: 20 awd
when i pull away in my car it is ok but when i am on motorway trying to pick up speed from third to fourth my car seems to just rev... then pick up speed! any ideas?

sounds like a clutch related problem when you next go out in the car what does the car pull off like in second if it pulls off ok then its something else but still have the clutch inspected as it could be early signs of going

just tryed and it pulls off in second ok

oes sound like clutch fault, Get in car with engine running, Handbrake applied stick car in third gear and rev engine to 4000rpm, Then let go of clutch pedal if engine stalls then clutch ok but if it keeps going then clutch is worn.
