2011 Subaru Forester steering rack much lighter turning right than left.

Rack much lighter on turning right. It like driving along a gradient with the car dropping of to the right. It's an electric rack.

Could be many things , the torque sensor , assist motor , electric steering pump/rack , steering ECU . really needs scanned with proper diagnostics for fault codes

Thanks for reply. I've tried to obtain a second hand rack but I'm more likely to win the lottery. Main dealer wants £1950 to supply and fit. Not sure if the car is worth much more than that.

A lot of money ! sometimes there are local independent steering specialist who can usually do what's needed a lot cheaper .
