Started up car yesterday and the ESP light came on and has stayed on. The triptronic gear box isn't changing up in auto or in manual. I can only travel at 20mph max. Previously the car felt rougher than normal and the auto gear changes seem to take longer and be more noticeable. As it was after dark I've been unable to check anything but will check the fuses and transmission fluid as soon as possible.

Sounds like two separate faults .Re . engine and gearbox fault , worth also checking / changing fuel filter .
