2007 Ssangyong Rodius car cutting out while driving

My car keeps cutting out while driving it, no apparent reason, takes a while to restart and then a puff of exhaust and a bang, like a misfiring of the engine. Diagnostic tests shows nothing but still keeps happening. Any suggestions? remedies?
