Glow plug system problem , lights up continuously and then car runs in emergency mode.

The car has been immobile for some months due to health problems left on driveway and engine turned over once a week. After driving for 10 minutes now glow plug lights up and engine power goes to emergency mode 40 mph ! After leaving car for 15 mins light goes out and car is normal again.

Often when car has been inactive for a period it only needs a good fast run to clear the cob webs
