Hi!
I have airbag light on on superb 1.9tdi.
vag com shows :

1 Fault Found:
01218 - Side Airbag Igniter; Passenger Side (N200)
29-00 - Short to Ground

I had a water ingress problem http://nackuk.blogspot.co.uk/2010/06/with-some-of-interior-lights-puddle.html ,but thats fixed now,dryed,all wires checked and fixed.

I checked conector under the pasenger seat,it looks fine.....

where else can be a problem?

Check that the Passenger Airbag Keyswitch in the Glove Compartment is connected completely. I had a similar issue with an Octavia - took out the Glovebox and exposed the Keyswitch item to find it was slightly apart - pushed it together firmly - problem sorted.
