2007 Skoda Roomster electirc windows working intermitently

Car: Skoda Roomster
Year: 2007
Variant: 1.9 Diesel
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Both my electric windows have stopped working. I have changed the fuses without any joy. However, when I removed the old fuses and cleaned them the windows started working again! Also when an electric meter probe was placed in the fuse box to test the voltage the windows started to work again. The problem started in May then went away for 6 weeks before returning.
A similiar problem happended while the car was under warranty and the car had to go back the the Skoda garage.
Any suggestions?

Are you able to check for power at the drivers window switch? And if none trace it back from there .unsure if this system uses modules to operate the windows but if so could be water in the multiplugs or poor terminal contacts.not sure of your model year,

In the end I had to visit a Skoda Dealer who diagnosed a faulty window lifter motor, which was replaced; the solution was not cheap!
